Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do core films ever get removed from the library?
A: Rarely. The library just gets bigger, so you'll be able to go back and review all your favorite previously viewed films.
Q: If I've worked long and hard at creating an iAttachment, can I save it?
A: Yes. While you remain an iAttachments subscriber you are allowed full access to a storage locker (My iAttachments) to save text, photos and video clips, which you can re-use for other iAttachments in the future.
Q: As a subscriber, can I just visit the site and watch films?
A: Absolutely. You don't have to send and share films in order to enjoy the site. We add new films, films with songs and slideshows all the time. In the future we intend to have humorous award ceremonies via podcast for subscribers.
Q: Will the calendar - greeting reminder feature save my occasions?
A: Yes, as long as you are a subscriber.
Q: Can my recipients forward the link to other people?
A: Yes, they can share the iAttachment with their friends and family. You can also post the link on your social networking page.
Q: Can I download an iAttachment?
A: No, iAttachments are viewed via streaming sessions because of our rights licenses with artists.
Q: Can iAttachments be created on a handheld device?
A: Yes, if your wireless browser can access and support our website and you have a sufficient broadband connection to support full motion video.
Q: What size and type of workstation is required to view streamed iAttachments?
A: The vast majority of workstations, whether laptop or desktop, PCs or Macs, are capable of conducting viewable streaming sessions of live video on the Internet. All major browser software (Safari, Explorer and Firefox) is compatible. There must be enough bandwidth in the Internet connection to support real time video streaming. Dial-up Internet will not support viewing of our material. A wireless broadband connection with multiple users may reduce the bandwidth available to a workstation so that it cannot temporarily access full motion video. Our video files are encoded in the Flash file format, so the machine must have Flash video software installed.
Q: How can I contact iAttachments if I have a technical question or a question about my account?
A: We have an e-mail based customer service system. Click the 'Contact Us' button on the bottom of our home page to send all inquiries.
Q: How long is an iAttachment?
A: An iAttachment can range from a 10 second postcard to a 7-minute film. However long it takes to tell the story, make the point, deliver the message or create the mood within this range is our objective. Add ten seconds for the custom graphic on the front end and thirty seconds of a custom message on the back end, and then you have the total length of an iAttachment.
Q: What kind of music can I find in the library?
A: All genres of music are currently represented, with the exception of rap and hip-hop.
Q: How long does it take for me to select, customize, and send an iAttachment?
A: Not as long as it takes to travel to a card shop, browse, write a message, put a stamp on the envelope and put it in a mailbox. In many cases, creating an iAttachment can take as little as two minutes.
